Northaw News

This Sunday see's The Haws take on White Hart reserves at Home. This will be the second meeting between these sides this season with Northaw winning 7-4 earlier in the season in a Cup competition. The League table is quite deceiving for White Hart showing them winning only two games but if you look at their last three results they are in a bit of form and losing only narrowly.

I high scoring reverse against Turnford who only weeks earlier beat the previously undefeated Shadwell, a loss by one goal in 7 against Rosemill and a 1-0 defeat in a very tight game against Hadley Green. White Hart enter the game in very high spirits and with a full squad to chose from.

As for Northaw they have a few injury doubts and are starting to feel that the squad is to small to mount a serious title challenge. Dave Noodle Norfolk is still out, although he is looking at using his whistle and cards in next weeks charity match. Wham is at a wedding, so to keep the goalkeeping standard the Manager is thinking of playing Mr Blobby in goal. There has been no news from Hughsie's agent or press officer, Katie, maybe she is still thinking about when she agreed to run the line next week with Lorna, topless.

Tinky has some big decisions to make and with the top two in the league playing each other and the teams in 4th and 5th playing each other this weekend could have as much bearing on the season as in the Premiership!! Will he get a keeper, will he play an outfield player in goal, will Hughsie walk back into the team if fit, who will play in defence?

Also please do not forget the Northaw vs Northaw Legends game next week, try and get as many people to come down as possible, even if not to watch but for the beers.

We will be running a raffle (need prizes please), a first goal scorer, a last goal scorer, an MoM award and I am sure we will buy a few jugs as well as raise some money for the club, plus the award for the top of the predictions league.
