Potters Bar Charity Cup

The Potters Bar Charity Cup, is played between the side in and around the Town
of Potters Bar,
Its Secretary Eddie Harvey has run the competition on his own
now for over 30 years.
Northaw are the only sunday side allowed to take part in the competition in
recent years with its bigger neighbours Mount Grace, Potters Bar Crusaders
Elizabeth Allen, Cuffley and Old Owens still members even though they were
all founded after The Haws
It is hoped that one day Northaw can return to the competition and maybe
even manage to lift the trophy once again that bares there name<
Winners
In the 1971-72 season Northaw collected the Potters Bar Charity Cup beating Mount
Grace in the final 1-0.
The Cup came to THE HAWS for a second time in 1973-74 with Barnet Crusaders
being beaten in the final.This was consolation as they had failed to retain
the trophy the previous season.
The 1977-78 season saw Northaw complete the hat-trick of wins whe they
beat Potters Bar Cursaders 3-2 in the final.
